Colorado Rockies simulation game no. 78 thread: Heith Fillmyer vs. Chi Chi González

Can Colorado’s offense carry it through a week of Interleague play?

The Sim Rockies start out this week of Interleague play with a three-game series against the Sim Royals. Colorado’s offense is used to the performances of Nolan Arenado, Trevor Story, David Dahl and Charlie Blackmon (who hit .356 combined last week). But there’s some new bats that are heating up, and those belong to Sam Hilliard and Drew Butera.

Hilliard ending last week going 4-for-12 with three run homes (besting his season high of two), five RBIs, three runs scored and three strikeouts. Butera went 4-for-8 (.500) in two starts behind the plate.

With the Rockies’ pitching rotation not at its peak, we will see if the offense can carry the team through the week, and potentially an Interleague sweep (or two?). Heath Fillmyer (5-6, 5.74 ERA) will take the mound for the Royals and Chi Chi Gonzalez (2-6, 5.40 ERA) will do the same for the Rockies.
