Propst — a 6-foot, 195-pound redshirt junior — made 10 relief appearances in 2020. During the abbreviated season, he posted a record of 2-0 with two saves and a 3.72 ERA (9 2⁄3 IP, 4 ER) with two walks and 17 strikeouts
In 2018, Propst made two appearances for Louisiana Tech University, striking out five across two hitless innings. This follows a celebrated career at Madison-Ridgeland Academy, where he posted a 2.27 ERA and struck out 59 batters in just 49 1⁄3 innings as a senior in 2016. He also earned both All-Conference and All-Star Game selections en route to pitching a complete game in the 4A State Championship. The Patriots won 32 games that year, a school record.
