The Rockies are struggling to get back on track after a hot start and head into tonight’s game with a three-game losing streak. Germán Márquez (2-2, 2.08 ERA) will look to even up the series 1-1 after the Rangers’ ace Lance Lynn held Colorado to just two hits in Friday’s loss. With Matt Kemp back in the lineup and Charlie Blackmon hitting well over a .400 batting average, hopefully Márquez will have the run support he needs to get his third win of the shortened season.
Right hander Kyle Gibson will face the Rockies for the first time in his career. Gibson is 0-2 this season with a 4.11 ERA after a poor start against the Seattle Mariners on Monday. He pitched 4 1⁄3 innings and gave up four earned runs in the 10-2 loss.
