Jon Gray and the Rockies hope to put a couple of dubious streaks to rest this afternoon when they take on the Texas Rangers at Coors Field. Gray (0-2, 6.41 ERA) is still searching for his first win of the season, and the Rockies (12-8) are looking to end a four-game losing streak.
Gray struggled in his last outing, allowing eight earned runs over 3 1⁄3 innings in a 12-8 loss to the Diamondbacks. The Rockies are 1-3 in Gray’s starts this season, with the only win coming against the Rangers in the season-opening series in Texas.
Left-hander Kolby Allard (0-0, 1.00 ERA) takes the hill for the Rangers (10-9), who are riding a four-game winning streak. Allard has started twice this year but earned no decisions in both contests.

One of the great traditions of the Negro Leagues was the incredible player nicknames. Today we honor that legacy, Rockies style. #NegroLeagues100 ⚾️ pic.twitter.com/8QrCwjjDxo
