Ashton Goudeau is a 28-year-old former 27th round pick by the Kansas City Royals in 2012. He spent time in the Royals system as well as the Mariners system before signing with the Rockies in November 2018 as a minor league free agent. He pitched for the Hartford Yard Goats in 2019, where he made 16 starts and posted a 2.07 ERA in 78 1⁄3 innings. Goudeau also pitched for the Salt River Rafters in the 2019 Arizona Fall League, where he began converting to a reliever. In 13 innings, he allowed zero hits and only four runs. He also had 18 strikeouts in his six appearances.
When Goudeau takes the ball for the Rockies, it will be his MLB debut.
