Colorado Rockies game no. 26 thread: Jon Gray vs. Walker Buehler

Struggling Rockies head to Los Angeles for a three-game set with division rival Dodgers

After starting the season on a hot streak, the Rockies are facing some early-season adversity having lost eight of their last ten games. The Dodgers, meanwhile, are living up to the pre-season hype and are playing like World Series contenders with a record of 19-8 and a rather secure four game lead over the San Diego Padres in the NL West. The Rockies will hand the ball to Jon Gray for the season opener. Gray has been a bit all over the place in his five starts thus far, but he fared pretty well in his last start at Coors Field where he earned his first win of the season limiting the Texas Rangers to three runs over seven innings. On the season, Gray’s line is 1-2, 26 ⅔ IP, 5.74 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, 16 K.

Walker Buehler will take the mound for the Dodgers, who has had some struggles of his own in 2020, although his record doesn’t show it. Buehler comes into today’s game with a record of 3-1 and an ERA of 5.21.
