With Saturday’s game in the books, the Rockies have racked up their fifth series win. The starting rotation has made consistent quality starts, and Ryan Castellani got in on that himself. There were no signs of nerves for the rookie as he pitched four perfect innings in his first MLB start. He got the game started by striking out the first batter on just three pitches, and the rest of his appearance was just as clean. Castellani walked one batter, struck out three, and earned the 5-0 win.

12 game streak
Safe to say that Charlie Blackmon has found his rhythm at the plate. Chuck Nazty extended his hitting streak with a double in his first at bat. He later led off the fourth inning with a single up the middle, but his most exciting hit of the night came in the fifth. With the bases full, Blackmon roped the first pitch he saw deep to left center - A bases clearing double at the wall just shy of a grand slam. After adding these three RBI, Blackmon’s total of 18 RBI puts him in second (behind Aaron Judge) in all of baseball for runs batted in.

Power pitching performances
Castellani got the tone started on the mound, and the bullpen finished strong. Jeff Hoffman took over in the fifth, and he only allowed one hit through his three innings of work. Yency Almonte pitched a 1-2-3 inning in the eighth, and Phillip Diehl closed it out, shutting out the Mariners. This was the sixth one-hitter in franchise history, and the fifth combined one-hitter.
