Colorado Rockies game No. 43 thread: Antonio Senzatela vs. Zach Davies

The Rockies will look to avoid the sweep

The Rockies (20-22) have lost two in a row to the Padres (27-17) in two very different fashions. On Monday, they were walked off; on Tuesday, they were blown out. Hopefully Wednesday night they will be able to pull out a victory and avoid the sweep.

Antonio Senzatela (3-1, 3.33 ERA) will take the hill for the Rockies. He has been a pleasant surprise this season and currently leads the rotation in both ERA and WHIP (1.130). He has given up the second most home runs (7), but has also allowed the lowest number of walks (7). Hopefully he will be able to play stopper tonight.

He will be up against 27-year-old righty Zach Davies, who is in the middle of his first year in San Diego after spending 2015-2019 with the Milwaukee Brewers. This will be Davies third start against the Rockies and his first away from Coors. In his first start, the Rockies won 9-6 on August 2; in his most recent start, the Padres won 10-4 on August 28.
