Welp. It happened again. You would think we’d start getting used to it!
Pittsburgh has seen rain throughout the day, and it’s looking to continue throughout the night. As such, Friday’s Rockies-Pirates contest has been postponed until tomorrow, where they will play a split doubleheader.
Jon Gray was set to start against Mitch Keller today, so it’s probably fair to say they’ll start the early game tomorrow. Austin Gomber was then slated to pitch opposite J.T. Brubaker. As of now that will more than likely stay the plan, but we’ll see if either Bud Black or Pirates manager Derek Shelton make a change to that arrangement.
Tomorrow’s first game will begin at 10:05 a.m. MDT, while Game 2 is tentatively scheduled for 2:05 p.m. MDT. Also, a reminder that all doubleheaders this season are seven-inning games.
