That’s right, Connor Joe. The 28-year-old rookie has been an inspiration. Not only has he slashed .233/.365/.279 in 43 at-bats with the Rockies so far — his sixth organization since being drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2014 — but he fought and beat testicular cancer in 2020 while also dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic and the loss of his beloved grandmother. And he’s done all of this with a positive attitude and smile on his face!
