Colorado Rockies game no. 93 thread: Walker Buehler vs Kyle Freeland

The Rockies look to rebound in game two of the second half

After dropping the first game of the second half 10-4, the Colorado Rockies look to pick up game two of the series against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday evening.

The Dodgers will send Walker Buehler (9-1, 2.36 ERA) to the mound to face the Rockies. Buehler has been as good as advertised so far this season and has been fairly dominant throughout the year.

Buehler has gotten the best of the Rockies for the most part in his career, although the Colorado lineup has been able to get to him a little bit at Coors Field. Overall, he is 5-2 with a 3.99 ERA in 17 games pitched against the Rockies.

For the Rockies, Kyle Freeland (1-3, 5.48 ERA) gets the call. Freeland struggled in his start to the season but has bounced back nicely the last month. In his last four starts, Freeland has a 1.64 ERA in 22 innings pitched. He will look to build on that tonight and stretch out a little as he has yet to pitch more than six innings in his nine starts on the year.

Against the Dodgers for his career, Freeland is 2-5 with a 4.43 ERA in 12 games started. He will look to improve on that stat line against a typically strong Los Angeles lineup tonight.
